2026 Call for Policy Reviews and Book Reviews

CPME invites scholarly Policy Reviews and Book Reviews addressing significant issues and emerging trends in cultural policy, both in Taiwan and internationally.

 

For Policy Reviews, we particularly welcome analytical and critical commentaries on topics such as the institutional design, procedures, and agenda-setting of the 2026 National Cultural Congress in Taiwan; the implementation of the Fundamental Act of Culture and the reification of citizens’ cultural rights; policies on the working conditions and rights of artists and cultural professionals; arts funding or subsidy policies and recent controversies; cultural sustainability and Cultural ESG policies; cultural heritage conservation policies; AI and cultural technology policies; as well as other major developments in cultural policy. We also encourage reviews of influential policy reports and research reports published by leading cultural organizations. Book Reviews are invited for publications released within the past 5 years on cultural policy, cultural management, cultural entrepreneurship, and other related themes outlined above. Both Policy Reviews and Book Reviews will undergo editorial review by the CPME Editorial Board. Manuscripts submitted should be between 1,500–3,000 words in Chinese or 1,000–1,500 words in English. Accepted submissions are scheduled for publication in the November 2026 and May 2027 issues.
